Okay...so it really started last night.
Mark and I took the poochies to the dog park to wear them out...they ran, got incredibly muddy, and generally got a healthy dose of frolic-ing. So adorable!
We came home and had a great CSA meal of hamburgers with heirloom tomatoes & onion and a side dish of green & yellow beans with ham. Very yummy.
Then I rigged up the bug net for my hammock on the front porch and read with a headlamp while it rained. Mark even brought me some chocolate (what a guy!)
Very peaceful and almost like I was on a mini-vacation.
So I woke up a little early...made coffee & an English Muffin for my man. I drove to work and heard "B-EE-RR-UN Beer Run" on 89.7 NPR to celebrate Obama's Beer Summit (which I can totally get behind a president who drinks beer) The song made me happy so I walked in to work happy. I chatted with several people...I even chatted with WES about our trip to Greece...and I HATE chatting with Wes.
Tonight, Mark & I are planning to go to Myra's Dionysus near UC to have Greek food and talk about our trip in depth. I can't wait to hang out with my baby.
Good day :)

CSA Week 10 - July 19th 2009

So this is the week that we almost forgot to go pick up the CSA. If I hadn't been goofing around with my Google calendar...we may have missed out. Whew!
We got: Carrots, Cucumbers, Yellow Squash, Wax Beans, Red Potatoes, Green Pepper, A big Onion, Basil, and beautiful flowers (especially the big yellow thing facing away from the camera, of course - sort of a crazy Sunflower/Giant Black-Eyed Susan hybrid thingee).
This weekend was nice & relaxing. Mark unfortunately had to work on Saturday, so I took the poochies to the dog park and then relaxed. Sunday was Jodi's Baby Shower and then more relaxing. I feel like I can finally start a week AHEAD instead of BEHIND.
I also want to announce that I have officially lost 15lbs...getting me to my PRE-CINCINNATI weight of 160lbs. I kind of want to be at 155lbs prior to heading to Greece so that I look good on the nude beaches...just kidding about the last part. Tee hee.

CSA Week 9 - 2009-07-12

Still trying to get over deleting my blog...
Here is the next installment of CSA yummies: Cabbage, Onions, Summer Squash, Cucumber, Potatoes, Green Pepper, Poblano Pepper, Wax Beans, Heirloom Cherry Tomatoes, Garlic, Basil, & Flowers (purple Zinnia?)
Very nice...interested to try the fresh wax beans...only have had canned. Also the cherry tomatoes...they are so pretty and colorful!
Check back next week to see if I have regained the will to live...
